When coming to the library please follow these guidelines:

  • Please wear a mask when entering the library. 
  • We will only be allowing 10 people at a time into the library.
  • Keep your visit short so others can visit the library as well.
  • Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by adult.
  • Stay 6ft apart from other patrons and staff when browsing for your items.
  • The computers are now open for educational and employment purposes only. 
  • We will have our curbside book service available every Wednesday. Orders are due by Tuesday at midnight. 
  • We will quarantine books for 6 days before re-shelving and checking them in.
  • We will be cleaning the library often and after hours. 
  • All returns need to go in the outside book drop or in our inside book drop. No returns should be placed on our counters.

Get a Library Card!

Mendon Library services are available free to residents in Mendon City with the postal code of 84325. Residents of other surrounding areas in Cache Valley may obtain a family library card for an annual fee of $25.00.

To obtain a library card you must provide proof of residence by showing the following:

• Drivers License
• Bill showing the zip code 84325

This includes access to Overdrive, Libby, and RB digital with ebooks and audiobooks.

*We offer library cards to ages 5+ with the parents/guardians signed permission. You can check out a limit of 25 items per card.

October Programs:

Puzzle Swap:

Swap a puzzle you’ve already done for a new one at the library! Keep checking back for new & fun puzzles to do with your family and friends!

Origami Kit: Learn the art of Paper Folding with this fun kit! Paper included. 

Movie Kits: It’s a movie night in a bag! Check out one of the newest releases with some free popcorn! (Return the movie and the bag – not the popcorn!)

Story Time Baskets: Bring your kid’s favorite stories to life! Each kit will contain books and a craft specific to a theme! New kits released during the third week of every month! 

Date Specific Programs:

Craft Pumpkin Carving or Decorating Contest: Entries due by October 24thVoting happens Oct 26th-29th. Winner wins a fall gift basket. Winner will be announced on Halloween!

Candy Jar Guess: We have jars for all ages to guess how many candies are in the jar. The winner that guesses the closest will win the jar of treats. Winner will be announced on Halloween!

Virtual LEGO Club: You’ll have until October 22nd to build a LEGO creation that fits the theme of Super Heroes. Submit a picture of your creation and we’ll show it off on social media or bring in your creation and we will display it in the library for all to enjoy!

Treat or Trick: We will be giving out treats on Halloween from 12:00-4:00pm. Please dress up and wear a mask!

DIY Baskets (ages 12-17): Check out a new craft every month! Stop by October 19-23 to pick up your basket of fun.

3D Prints (Ages 8-17): We recently received a donation from JoAnn’s for a 3-D printer. We are so excited to have you paint some prints we will have available on October 19-23. All supplies will be provided for this activity upon pick-up.

Reading Treasure Hunt (ages 2-7): You can sign up at the library for this fun treasure hunt to help your littles to learn about the library and the fun things it has to offer.  There are prizes along the way. This is an ongoing program. Come in anytime to sign-up!

Reading Challenge (ages 8-11): There challenge is to read 30 books by April 30th. Sign up by downloading the app Reader Zone onto your phone. Then enter the code 64821. Join the correct age group and start entering in your books. You can earn tickets for a raffle for a Movie Pack and $10 gift card.

Curbside Book Service:

We will be offering pick up on every Wednesday at 10:00-2:00 pm. Please place your orders by creating an account by going to Create Account or email us at mendonutahlibrary@gmail.com. Book Club Set: (15 copies per set)

We offer book club sets through the Book Buzz that is through the State Library. You can check here for a list of book club sets and their availability. You can use ctrl F to search for a book.

Shopping List: If there is an item you would like to see on the shelves you can add it to our shopping list. If we are unavailable to purchase it for the library then we can do an Interlibrary loan for you. Please email us at mendonutahlibrary@gmail.com if you have a request.

Creative Bug: We are so excited to join with the State Library and Creative Bug to bring you this amazing site. This site offers video tutorials on a variety of crafts. You can visit it by clicking on the link below. You login using your library card and the last 4 digits of your phone number for the pin. Have fun crafting!
